Welcome to Hooked on Walking and our walking holidays in Croatia. This particular hiking vacation in Croatia is a guided boat and hike tour. Stunning walks during the day and relaxation on your floating hotel at night. The wonders of this type of holiday is that if you do not walk that much or do not wish to walk you can stay on board and soak up the sun. For one week, explore the country, get to know its people and discover on foot the islands of Cres, Krk, Rab and Losinj. The hikes take us to the most beautiful spots on these island. We have plenty of time to enjoy the unique landscape, to admire the fabulous vistas or to have a refreshing drink at a pretty roadside cafe.
We start out in the morning after a hearty breakfast. At noon we meet up with the ship in some harbour for lunch or have a picnic in the countryside. In the evening the ship is already waiting for us in the next port, where at sunset we enjoy a good meal on board. Afterwards we can stroll through charming old towns, enjoy the colorful nightlife and, finally, fall asleep in our cabin or in a sleeping bag under the stars.
On four dates we are offering a Nordic Walking as well as a hiking group on the same ship. In the Nordic Walking group we pay more attention to learning or improving the proper technique through good instructions. Please note, that 30 % of the Nordic walking tours will take place on terrain, which is not suitable for Nordic Walking. This is necessary in order to reach the most beautiful spots of the islands, which sometimes only can be reached using unpaved paths.
The itinerary of the tour outlined below is the same for both groups, even though we only refer to hiking. The duration of the excursions pertains to hiking time and is correspondingly less for the faster Nordic Walking tours.

Day 7 (Sat) Martinscica – Lubenice – Omisalj (4 hrs, 480 m elevation) On the island of Cres we visit Lubenice, a former pirates’ stronghold high up on the rocks.
